the order of time
An exploration of temporal relationships between different beings.
[js,html,css]
My project is titled “The Order of Time”, inspired by the eponymous book written by the Italian physicist Carlo Rovelli in 2017. With his book, he managed to elucidate intricate concepts about time in a simple yet comprehensive manner, making it accessible to a broad audience. I aim to achieve a similar goal with my project. The guiding question I posed at the inception of my project is: “What if I could explain the relativity of time using time itself?”. Through this proposal, my objective is to elucidate how time would flow at varying rates for different subjects if we all lived the same duration of life. To accomplish this, I have chosen three diverse examples: humans, with an average lifespan of 72 years; cats, with an average lifespan of 14 years; red oak trees, with an average lifespan of 300 years. As Einstein told us and Rovelli explains, the flow of time is not uniform, there is no large clock that beats the time of the universe everywhere in the same way. What we are used to calling time is actually a product of the human mind. We are the time.
